Yes it really works! Only use it every couple of weeks though because it can make your skin go very sore! By the way to use it at its best put your face over some boiling water and put a towel over your head for 10 minutes. This will open your pores up so the lotion can get to those deep down blackheads. Remember to always moisturise after using it though to help your skin recover because it is a very sharp process but it really works ! I got mine at Rite-Aid but it doesn't get half as foamy as the commercial. I have to give them credit they made a good commercial but yeah its not that great of a product. As for blackheads try clean and clear persa gel 10 instead.

I have a lot of blackheads that no matter what I do won't go away. It also doesn't help that I play sports so I am always sweating so that doesn't help my acne at all either.

I got the wave for blackheads. It did absolutely nothing. Actually the wave made me break out more than ever, and made me really oily. I've lost all faith in Neutrogena products, they really are pretty bad.
If you honestly want to know how I got my blackheads to go away, I use a product called Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion.
I used to have deep blackheads on my nose, cheeks, and chin. They were really deep too and my pores were very large and noticeable. I used to be very self conscious if I stood too close to someone because that's all you would see, was clogged pores and blackheads.
Now they are all virtually gone and I barely get any that come back. If they do, my pore size has been significantly reduced so they aren't deep anymore. They are very easily removable if I get them now. I can stand right in someones face and there is nothing there anymore! It's fantastic.

I play volleyball myself, and yeah i have acne because im a teenager.
About the blackheads, I am not too sure myself, but personally I would use the biore pore pack. I have used it, and its worth the pain! getting rid of those ugly black little horrible evil things make you feel soo good.
People have complained of breakouts using the neuteogena wave, but I think it can be due to a few factors:
1) If people are really that dumb as to not wash off the cleanser after using the wave
2) Not closing your pores after the wave opens them, and they can accumulate dirt = pimples.
3) Misuse of the wave?
So far i havent broken out because i have been careful to close my pores, moisturize and take care of my skin. I hope it works for you too!

Hey, you should see dermatologist, just in case. Anyway you should try this... Put some garlic juice on it. Garlic is natural anti-biotic and kills bacteria, it also goes deep under skin. It would be smart to massage skin around the zit (NOT DIRECTLY on it) to increase blood flow so more anti-body cells get there to do their job.
Doing that you will help your body to deal with the problem as fast as possible and prevent further infections. Just don't touch it too much directly, you don't want to push the bacteria deeper inside, you could cause scars... My friend also had similar problem a few years ago and he touched it too much and popped it all the time and was scratching directly on the spot. Now he has a HUGE scar there which probably will never go away, because the bacteria damaged lower skin layers.

I think it sounds like some sort of bite. I would go to the doctor and have him check it. He may also be able to prescribe a cream for it.

Personally I have never used or even heard of the Blackhead eraser, although I am intrigued haha. I have however, boughten and thrown out the neutrogena Wave. The Neutrogena Wave is more like a moisturizer than a acne treatment. If you want soft, smooth skin, get the Wave. But, moisturizers can often cause zits. If you're trying to get rid of zits, go with the blackhead eraser( I've heard it works great). But if you want soft, smooth skin, go with the Neutrogena Wave.

It will take a few days to see results but if you have a specific area of blackheads, scrub hard on that area. It would be best to use a circular motion moving the eraser around to get the full clean effect. As soon as you see blackheads appearing again, just reuse the eraser but not every day. Neutrogena Wave? Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser?
Hey guys. I have been thinking about getting one of those products. I was wondering If they work really well or is it just a waste of money?Neutrogena Wave? Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Eraser?
The wave works well if you use it twice a day, but as soon as you stop using it you will see your blackheads slowly coming back. I strongly dislike ALL of those commercial acne products. None of them work, and the chemicals in those products are just HORRIBLE for your skin. I did a lot of research online about all the chemicals in my skincare (and haircare) products, and I ended up throwing out EVERYTHING. Now I will only use Burts Bees and a few other natural products. For acne, I use witch hazel as a toner, tea tree oil works great for oily skin, and then I wash with a natural face cleanser. Burts Bees orange scrub works wonders. I just use it morning, noon, and night. I suffered from teen and adult acne, but now I'm completely acne-free since I stopped using chemical products. I also use Burts Bees shampoo %26amp; conditioner (Super Shiny Grapefruit %26amp; Sugar Beet), and the avocado pre-shampoo treatment a couple times a week to make my hair soft %26amp; smooth. The honey %26amp; orange lotion smells AMAZING, too! Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked from the OT! My suggestion: go research the chemicals in those products, and then try something that's more natural and chemical-free. You will notice a difference right away. I won't ever go back!

It is also a pain and hastle, to have to switch out the pads after each use, and they only give you about 12 pads a pack. I would not recommend it. Am I using it wrong or did I just waste my money! So I put the pad on the vibrator thing, wet it and turn it on. It doesn't get all foamy and soapy! So I wet it more...nothing. So I press down on it with my palm, and that will get it soapy, but not much. Then, after I'm done, my skin feels tight. I then realized I have dry spots, color is uneven, and my skin is always feeling so dry and tight! I've tried everything and I can't get rid of my blackheads. It's discusting. use a clay or mud mask
when you wash your face, pat your face dry
place a slightly warm/hot cloth/towel on your face
for approximately 10-15 minutes in order to soften
the blackhead, making it easier to remove.

omg! I've been like dying to help someone with their blackheads because I used to have a ton too. What I do is i use baking soda as a scrub, then I apply Queen Helen's mint julep mask. This is optional but first you could steam your face to open your pores and maximize your results or you could take a hot shower and start from there. After washing your face (if you're in the shower) let hot water run on your face for a few minutes to open your pores then take a little but of baking soda on your fingertips and gently massage it all over your face. After you feel like you have gotten everywhere you should, rinse the baking soda off with warm water and next apply the Queen Helene mint julep mask. Wait until either 20 min or so of after the mask is dry and rinse it off. Then I normally just put witch hazel (toner) on my face and a hydrating lotion so my skin doesn't dry out and i am all set =] hope this helps email me if you have questions XD

The Neutrogena Wave is not good at all. I recommend either the Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Eraser OR the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub (but only use it once a day if you do use it daily)

wave is AMAZING! it removes the dry dead skin, the black heads, and brings growing black heads to the surface so you can take care of them.

It depends on your purpose...I've used the Wave, it's great for cleaning, but it's not for severe acne or blackheads. It's fine for mild acne. If you have more acne prone skin or blackheads, the Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Eraser might be better, it does use salicylic acid. Other than that they're basically the same. I love my Wave!!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts or just before your menstrual cycle?
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.
The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.
Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

I rarely get breakouts, so it's nice because it isn't too harsh of a cleanser since I don't really need anything to try to keep them at bay. However, I do sometimes get them under my bangs %26amp; when I have PMS, and it doesn't really do much if anything to get rid of them. My skin does always feel really soft after I use it, though! Overall I like it but I wouldn't reccomend it if you need something to get rid of acne.

the best thing you can do and it's cheap, is to. get a clean cloth use very hot water, and scrub your nose. Then use cold water next and scrub. EDIT: For those that are recommending birth control, to get clear skin is great but no one is adding that the pill increases the risk of cervical, breast and uterine cancers. I'd rather have a few blackheads...
My mom just went to school to work on the face, now she is graduated. And she steams my face then takes a blackhead remover, they come right out. I would suggest boiling a pot of water, then stick your face over the hot water, put a towel over your head to prevent steam from escaping. Steam your face from around 8 to 15 min depending on what you can handle then use to cu tips to pop the blackheads out. If that doesn't work go to get a facial or use the nuetrogena blackhead remover.
home remedies.... mix cornstarch w/ vinegar. the texture must be like paste then apply to areas w/ blackheads. It may have an uncomfortable to the eyes. You may also use oatmeal. Mix it with water, same thing texture must be like paste then apply. Leave on for a few minutes maybe 10 minutes will do.

take it off the stove and put a cloth on it so the steam doesn't burn your face
the steam will open up your pores and you will start sweating
then take a clean %26amp; clear facial scrub wash or anything of the sort and rub it into your face, then wash and they should be gone.

Healthy skin is very important and is a daily routine.
the best thing you can do and it's cheap, is to. get a clean cloth use very hot water, and scrub your nose. Then use cold water next and scrub. What this does is, hot water opens your pores, and cold water closes them. All blachheads are , are dirt in your pores. Sometimes when you use products on your face, it aggravates your skin and makes it worse.
Boil some water and let the steam from the water hit your nose, do this for about 10 minutes, then go in the mirror and GENTLY squeeze the blacheads out. This is how the facialists clean your face...
EDIT: For those that are recommending birth control, to get clear skin is great but no one is adding that the pill increases the risk of cervical, breast and uterine cancers. I'd rather have a few blackheads...
My mom just went to school to work on the face, now she is graduated. And she steams my face then takes a blackhead remover, they come right out. I would suggest boiling a pot of water, then stick your face over the hot water, put a towel over your head to prevent steam from escaping. Steam your face from around 8 to 15 min depending on what you can handle then use to cu tips to pop the blackheads out. If that doesn't work go to get a facial or use the nuetrogena blackhead remover.
home remedies.... mix cornstarch w/ vinegar. the texture must be like paste then apply to areas w/ blackheads. It may have an uncomfortable to the eyes. You may also use oatmeal. Mix it with water, same thing texture must be like paste then apply. Leave on for a few minutes maybe 10 minutes will do.
boil water in a pot that is big enough for your face
take it off the stove and put a cloth on it so the steam doesn't burn your face

then take a clean %26amp; clear facial scrub wash or anything of the sort and rub it into your face, then wash and they should be gone.

the blacckhead ereaser is the same thing as the wave. my brother has the blackhead eraser and i have the wave. seriously its the saame thing. i even use his cleansing pads for my wave. idk but i have the same exact problem
clearasal is good it helped clean my cousins face and arbricut scrub works well and ask your doctor. if you dont want them to come back then dont eat a lot of candy and dont touch your face since hands are usally dirty.

Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser?
I just got the clean and clean blackhead eraser and when i used it my face feels baby butt smoth. But some ppl said that there face broke out when they used it. My mom said it prob just brought all the underground pimples out to get rid of them. Ok im not familiar with the eraser but it sounds like a type of exfoliant. and the problem with using an exfoliant everyday is you are taking away all the natural oils and pretty much stripping your skin and not allowing it to heal or repair itself. iv actually tryed the wave and it does help. i used the wave and this other product cant think of the name but its been around for a LONG time and i used them for only like 5days straight 1 times a day because i had dry skin and was getting severe acne and it rlly did help both i still had a lil acne but it was mostly tiny blk heads on my nose and before i had rlly bad red zits on my forehead and it took most of them away and the 1's tht were still there on the whole face were barly noticeable and even ppl at my middle school noticed it. so ya its defintly worth getting the wave and the hang on let me find it... its called noxema and its in a blue bottle and i like the pump bottle. but i would suggest both but the wave can get a lil expensive but the noxema is pretty cheap for a pretty big bottle. So I have really bad blackheads and I got this a little while ago and have been using it for 2 days. I notice my skin is feeling softer but the blackheads amount is the same. Is it suppose to be like this or am I doing something wrong.

- Get a box of pore strips, Biore, CVS brand, they're both the same.
- Rinse your skin with hot water (or steam it or take a shower)
- Exfoliate your skin
- Get a hot moist towel and place it on your black heads for 2-5 minutes if you did not take a shower
- Follow directions on pore strips box
- PEEL OFF SLOWLY AND MAKE SURE STRIP IS 100% DRY!

I have used both and I found the blackhead eraser to work incredibly well. Right after my first time using the blackhead eraser I could see blackheads starting to disappear, as opposed to the wave which doesn't work as well and takes longer. The blackhead eraser gets into pores a lot better.
I just started using the neutrogena wave and it is awesome. I could actually see a difference after one use. I haven't used the blackhead eraser, but I have used other scrubs and the wave is much better.

I usually wash my face with Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit cleanser. I loooove the smell, and if you use it 2 times a day, it really helps because it's got sacyclic acid [i hope i've spelt that right , haha] and the acid helps prevent blackheads from re-appearing.

It really does clear up blackheads and its cheaper, but if you have severe blackheads and want super clear skin I'd go with the Neutrogena Rejuvenator.

I have these little colorless bumpies on my nose, and a few on my forehead, and I was wondering, what are they? They're annoying, I can get rid of them, but they always come back. My clean & clear blackhead eraser isnt working?
i just bought it yesterday. i do everything correctly (putting the pad on it, wetting it, turning it on, using it for five minutes and then taking off the pad.) but there isn't any soap coming out of the pad when i use it, and my blackheads are still there. :(My clean %26amp; clear blackhead eraser isnt working?

1. correct and conceal blemish stick nutrimetics - $20 dollars but works
2. neutrogena rapid clear daily scrub - 11 dollars or something makes skin feel good :-)
3.garnier PURE wash, scrub and mask 3in1 - 11 dollars but you can feel it working
then i moisturize and done cheap and easy...

those things never work. plain ole fingers, a buff puff, and a facial cleanser is always the best. if i were you i would return it and just get some buff puffs, they are great

i think it might but you have to do more than that to get rid of lots of blackheads. Like washing your face twice a day with a good face cleanser, moisturizing everyday use clean %26amp; clear lotion, and exfoliating twice a week use St. Ives apricot scrub. But you should try, it never hurts to try.

Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser or Neutrogena WAVE?
I have blackheads on my nose and chin, but don't really have a big problem with acne. I have breakouts, but when I breakout I only have 2 or 3 big bumps and some small bumps.. I really like both products from what I already know, but they seem mostly the same.. Which do you like or prefer over the other?? RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.
EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.
HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.
FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.
I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!
Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.
HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.
INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.
For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.
NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.
OLD WIVES TALE??...It's an 'old wives tale' type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X

DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.
If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!
Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.

You can remove blackheads at home by natural ways;
Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.

If you get some 5mm rubber fishtank tube you can just put one end over the blackheads one at a time an suck on the othr end and its really awesome becase the fishtank tube is CLEAR so u can see all the lil blackhead rocks flying into the tube but dont eat um less u like that thing eeww lol i gotta out a bulb from the down there place lol k bye.Blackhead eraser or Neutrogena Wave?

RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.
EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.
HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.
FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.
I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!
Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.
HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.
INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.
For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.
NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.
OLD WIVES TALE??...It's an 'old wives tale' type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X
